Logistics Advisory Management Board
The board is the operational oversight committee. It provides guidance and insight into industry changes and new challenges — and it is deliberately built to include the people who actually run the freight.
Seven seats. Two of them behind the wheel.
The board is comprised of tenured individuals from the transportation industry. Ownership appoints the board, and members serve two-year terms — long enough to see a decision through, short enough that the seats keep turning over.

The committee's mandate
The L.A.M.B. committee establishes equitable relationships with corporations, procurement departments, and the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) within each federal agency.
Those agencies are responsible for overseeing compliance and evaluating contractor performance — the board's work assures accountability and compliance with Public Law 100-656, so a certification means something at the point of evaluation, not just on a certificate.
